Understanding Bracing Needs

Before beginning the ICF project, it’s important to understand the bracing needs.
Bracing and Alignment Spacing

Braces are placed every 4-6’ to ensure adequate ability to align ICF walls, withstand wind during construction, and prevent leaning walls. Most bracing systems also create safe and stable working platforms for workers and equipment.

Follow site specific codes and install vertical safety rails as required.

It may be necessary to place additional bracing around corners, openings, bulkheads, and vertical seams. Ensure adequate bracing is available on site and organized in a way that’s easy to locate and retrieve.
