ICF Product Advantages

Traditional wood-frame construction can’t compare to the safety, permanence, resilience, and energy efficiency of walls built with insulating concrete forms.

Benefits of ICF Construction

Airtight & High Insulation Value – ICFs create a solid mass concrete wall that is insulated by two continuous panels of EPS foam. The foam insulation resists changing temperature, so your house also resists changing temperature no matter what extremes happen outside.

Low Weight – Each ICF form weighs about 7 pounds. Even a full bundle of forms weighs less than 100 pounds and are easily moved around the jobsite. Both bundles and individual blocks are highly unlikely to cause injury or strain for workers.

Increase speed of construction – When stacking and pouring an ICF wall, you’ve accomplished 5 goals together.

  • The wall has been formed.
  • The wall has been reinforced.
  • The wall has been insulated with an air barrier.
  • The wall has been furred completely.
  • The wall has been sound-proofed (STC-50)

Safe – The strong wall and reinforced solid concrete construction has a hidden benefit that we hope is never needed. ICF walls can resist more than 250+mph winds and the impact of the debris. This keeps your family safe, valuables secure, and home protected.

Benefits of an ICF Home:
  • 30-70% savings in energy consumption and costs (good for your pocketbook and the environment)
  • Tornado, hurricane and earthquake resistant (keeping your family and belongings safe and sound)
  • 75% reduction in outside air infiltration (less dust and allergens)
  • Five times quieter than a wood-frame home
Building with ICFs saves at least 10 trees per home
  • ICFs can be used to build virtually any home plan, using any finish – brick, stucco, siding, and more.
